San Francisco, CA — November 15, 2025 — Sagittar, the AI SaaS platform that gives software teams everything they need to build and scale AI-powered products, today announced the close of a $6 million Seed Round led by Fuel Ventures. The funding will accelerate platform development, expand Sagittar's API infrastructure, and support rapid customer growth.
The integration of AI capabilities into software products has shifted from a competitive advantage to a table stakes expectation. Customers expect their SaaS tools to be intelligent — to surface insights, automate repetitive tasks, and adapt to their specific needs. Yet for most software teams, building robust AI features remains challenging: integrating multiple AI models, managing API reliability, handling rate limits, and ensuring consistent behavior across different contexts requires significant engineering investment.
Sagittar was built to eliminate these challenges by providing a unified AI platform that software teams can build on rather than from scratch. The platform handles the complexity of multi-model integration, API management, and MLOps infrastructure so that product teams can focus on the user experience and business logic that differentiates their product.
The Sagittar platform is built around four architectural pillars. The Model Integration Layer provides a unified interface for connecting to any AI model — proprietary, open-source, or custom — with automatic failover, caching, and cost optimization. The Workflow Engine enables teams to build sophisticated AI-powered workflows using a visual, no-code builder alongside a full-featured API. The Agent Framework provides infrastructure for building and deploying autonomous AI agents with memory, tool access, and human-in-the-loop controls. And the MLOps Suite provides comprehensive infrastructure for teams building and maintaining custom models.
"Fuel Ventures focuses on infrastructure software that powers the next generation of technology companies," said the managing partner. "Sagittar is building the foundational layer that AI-native SaaS companies will be built on. The team's engineering depth, the clarity of the product vision, and the strength of early customer traction made this an easy investment decision."
Sagittar has grown to over 600 customers since launching its platform in early 2025, processing over 10 billion API calls per month across its customer base. The company maintains a 99.9% uptime SLA and has achieved an NPS of 72 among its developer user base. The $6M Seed Round will primarily fund engineering hiring, infrastructure expansion to support international customers, and the development of enterprise-grade security and compliance features including SOC 2 Type II certification and HIPAA compliance.
"The AI revolution is just beginning," said CEO Michael Smith. "Every software company is going to need to become an AI company. Sagittar is the platform that makes that transformation practical and affordable."
